Bitcoiners Have the Cassandra Curse – Bitcoin Magazine

This is an editorial by Mark Maria, entrepreneur and author of Rainmaking Made Simple and a Bitcoiner.

Legend says that there was a princess named Troy Cassandra, daughter of King Priam and Queen Hecuba, sister of Hector, Prince of Troy who fought Achilles (the heel of fame). The god Apollo fell in love with her and in an attempt to lure her, gave her the gift of the ability to see the future. Unmoved, she rejected his love. The god could not take back a divine gift by simply giving it, so in his anger Apollo could only give her something more – this time a curse. Cassandra’s fate has always been to see the truth of the future, but never to believe anyone she tells her vision.
